Christopher Mayhew, Member of Parliament (Labour) for Woolwich East since June 1951, previously represented South Norfolk from 1945-50. He was Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Lord President of the Council 1945-1946 and Parliamentary Under-S:cretary of Srate for Foreign Affairs from 1946 to 1950.
Charles Ian Orr-Ewing has been the Member of Parliament (Conservative) for North Hendon since 1950. He is an electronics engineer and served a three-yeat apprenticeship to a radio firm. He is member of the Association of Scientific Workers and a Governor of the Imperia! College of Science. He served in the R.A.F. radar service from 1939 to 1946 and is secretary of the Conservative Air Subcommittee and the Parliamentary and Scientific Committee. He has been Parliamentary Private Secretary to Sir Walter Monckton , Minister of Labour and National Service since November, 1951.
