Llewelyn (reigned 1246-1282) was the grandson of Llewelyn the Great and the last Welsh Prince of Wales. Soon after his death Edward I completed his conquest of the country, and the story is told that in I2S4 he gave the title Prince of Wales to his infant son because the Welsh had demanded to live under the rule of ' a prince who could speak no English.'
