Professor Mallory and his friends find that Lee Cantrill, the missing research worker, has been secretly carrying out experiments with * Mystine,' a new drug which is apparently capable of producing greatly increased growth in young specimens. This is verified by the sudden appearance of a double-sized Mygale spider which has escaped from Cantrill's research hut. Mallory is concerned.
