Peter Greenaway : Anatomy of a Film-Maker
Peter Greenaway courts controversy. His last film, The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover , like his past work, was obsessed with themes of sex, death, food and bodily functions. With the release of his latest work, Prospero's Books, an adaptation of The Tempest starring
John Gielgud , Greenaway gives his first major television interview on his approach to film-making. Originally trained as a fine artist, he's continued to explore his obsession with European fine art throughout his films. His idiosyncratic approach has divided audiences and critics.
