What the General Forces Programme means to the British Forces Overseas.
As the war has moved across the world, broadcasting has been the fighting man's constant link with home. The strengthening of that link has been the special purpose of the Overseas Service of the BBC. From tomorrow Home and Front are brought closer together, when you in this country join the great audience of Service men and women overseas as listeners to the General Forces Programme. In tonight's special programme men of the Service tell how they and their comrades are listening now and will be listening in the future together with you at home.
