The Curse of the Werewolf

on BBC One London

Hammer horror starring Oliver Reed
A tale of the supernatural set in 18th-century Spain. Young Leon, the offspring of a mad prisoner and a mute servant girl, is brought up by a kind-hearted professor and his wife. But Leon becomes more animal-like with every full moon, until finally his true nature is revealed. The portrayal of Spain caused the film to be banned there for 15 years.
