Tonight for the first time Jack Petersen defends the title that he won from Reggie Meen , with a quick knock-out, last summer. Since then he has spent some months on a long sea voyage, built himself up into a real heavyweight, and fought once, against Hans Schon rath, of Germany. His performance on that occasion did not convince the critics that he retains the fire that carried him to his present position. He will probably need a knock-out punch to retain his title to-night, for Jack Pettifer , the King's Cross giant, possesses a boxing ability rarely found in men of his size.
