A Royal Family Album

on BBC One London

Queen Victoria and Prince Albert fell in love with the camera the moment it was invented and filled their private albums with an astonishing array of photographs.
This programme opens up the pages of Victoria's albums for the first time and tells the story behind the pictures. It uses the Queen's own words from her diaries and personal letters, with sequences filmed inside Windsor Castle and Osborne House.
HRH The Duke of York, an enthusiastic photographer himself, talks about the royal photographic collection with Sir Michael Hordern , the programme's presenter.
Annette Crosbie is the voice of Queen Victoria.
