The whole of Scotland's first, and perhaps most crucial, match in Group 4 of the 1978 World Cup. Victory tonight over the dark horses from South America would pave the way to a place in the last eight. Peru reached the last eight of the 1970 competition before losing 4-2 to Brazil, the eventual winners.
