The Laugh Parade: Merry Andrew

on BBC One London

Tonight's comedy film stars Danny Kaye with Pier Angeli, Baccaloni, Noel Purcell, Robert Coote

The story of a rather timid school-teacher who becomes involved with a travelling circus and discovers an unsuspected talent as a clown is tailor-made for the talents of Danny Kaye, himself one of the screen's greatest clowns.
He is partnered by the lovely Pier Angeli as the niece of the circus-owner who helps 'Merry Andrew' to kick over the traces - much to the dismay of his stuffy family.
