Well, what a way to start a new series!
While most of us assumed that it was Quigley and Orla who were heading for tragedy in their runaway hot-air balloon, it turned out to be the hapless cop Ambrose who came to an untimely end in last week's episode. Now prepare for some really tear-jerking scenes as the scriptwriters make the most of Ambrose's funeral and his widow's guilt over her plans to leave him for Dillon. But life goes on in BallyK and Orla, for one, is busy searching for a new place to live. She goes to view a rundown old cottage and falls in love with the place - only to find out that Conor Devlin (the fisherman who saved her and Quigley from a watery grave) is the landlord.
This episode is dedicated to Birdy Sweeney, who played eccentric farmer Eamon and who died earlier this year while filming this series.
