News Summary; Mrs. Dale's Diary

on Light Programme

Mrs. Freeman had to stay in bed because her leg had become troublesome; she upset Henry by pretending to him that she was eighty. Mrs. Mountford asked Mrs. Dale if she could have the empty flat in Virginia Lodge, because she was lonely, and Mrs. Dale told her it had been taken. Mrs. Dale had a row with Mrs. Gudgeon, who had been making insinuations about Janet and Mr. Haynes. An actress in Richard Fulton's play was injured in an accident; Jenny went for an audition, and got the part, unknown to Fulton, who was very annoyed when he found out.
