Music Restored

on BBC Radio 3

An Elizabethan House. Lucie Skeaping visits Wollaton Hall in Nottingham to find out what kind of music-making would have gone on there in Elizabethan times. She talks to musicologist and organist John Morehen about the Willoughby family who built the house in the 16th century. Plus music from the manuscript associated with the Hall - the Willoughby Lute Book - recorded specially for the programme by Morehen and lutenist Jacob Heringman.
