THIS talk resumes the series on ' The Development of Mind and Character ' given by three distinguished psychologists last summer. Then, Professor Cyril Burt , Dr. Crichton-Miller and Dr. Potts dealt specifically with the problems of the child ; in this second part of the series they will discuss the adolescent. All of them are not merely academic experts, but men of experience in practical psychopathy. Professor Burt-who gives the first two talks-has been since 1913 Psychologist to the Education Department of the London County Council, and has all their information with which to test theoretical conclusions. Dr. Potts is Psychological Expert to the Birmingham Justices, and Hon. Physician to the Tavistock Clinic, and Dr. Crichton-Miller is Hon. Director of the Clinic, which is a well-known institution for the treatment of functional nerve cases. Listeners interested in the practical aspect of psychology have, therefore, in this series an opportunity to hear it expounded by psychologists who have had every opportunity to verify their ideas.
