This musical comedy was done as a stage play both in England and America and has also been filmed. It is welcome news that Edith Day is to broadcast in the part she created in the London production at the Prince Edward Theatre in 1930. She is as distinguished on the air as she is on the stage, and listeners will remember her broadcasts in Frederica and Show Boat in 1934, and in Desert Song last year. They will remember her singing in several ' Songs from the Shows ', particularly in ' From the Royal Box' during Silver Jubilee Week.
'Rio Rita ' will be repeated in the Regional programme tomorrow at 9.0
