Panorama: Abortion - Behind Closed Doors

on BBC One London

Although it has been legally available for 30 years, and has become one of the most common operations performed, abortion remains controversial and is often kept secret. Now some campaigners want to make abortion an election issue, and claim that if the public knew the truth about the procedure they would vote to make it illegal. Sarah Barclay examines the facts and talks to women and their doctors about their personal and professional views.
