In the third of six Lent talks, the Bishop of Bradford, The Rt Rev Geoffrey Paul, looks at the death of Jesus on the cross as a key to the divine answer not only to guilt but also the consequences of sin.
'The cross does not answer all our questions about evil, but it teaches us that evil does not have God's reality, that it can be dissolved and is ultimately transmuted to serve God's own good purposes.'
