From Darkness to Light

on BBC One London

A candlelit service for Advent Sunday from Salisbury Cathedral. Tonight 1,000 people stand in a dark Cathedral, facing west.
They await, as they do every year, the lighting of the first candle of Advent. They hope that its light will grow into a blaze as the carols begin and members of the choir bear their candles to each dark corner of the Cathedral.
