An Australian drama series in three parts adapted from Marcus Clarke's classic adventure story.
2: A strange twist of fate forces Rufus Dawes and Maurice Frere into an uneasy alliance. For Dawes, it is an opportunity to prove his integrity and heroism and his only chance of ever earning a free pardon; but he is soon to learn that Frere is not a man to stand by his word. And Dawes knows from experience that few people will believe a convicted man's version of events.
