The World of Jacques Cousteau

on BBC One London

Jacques-Yves Cousteau has brought to our screens the mystery and beauty of the undersea world.
In his new series, starting next week, Captain Cousteau and the crew of his ship Calypso explore the antiquities and lost civilisations beneath the Mediterranean Sea.
Tonight's introductory programme The Credible Captain Cousteau was first screened when Cousteau visited Britain during a break from filming. In front of an audience of fans and critics, he talks to Julian Pettifer and Anthony Smith about his life-long love of the sea and his concern for its future.
With film of Calypso's voyages around the world, Captain Cousteau describes the landmarks of his amazing career.
