Opera Matinee: Sigurd

Sigurd, an opera in four acts by Ernst Reyer , parallels the last part of Wagner's Ring cycle. It was written before Wagner's music drama, though not performed until seven years after The Ring was first heard at Bayreuth.
This concert performance, given this summer at the Montpellier Festival, is-presented by Clive Bennett. Sung in French.
