A tribute to Lionel Tertis
The title is the comment of a Concertgebouw Orchestra player after Tertis had rehearsed with them.
Bernard Keeffe , on the eve of Tertis's 97th birthday, presents this celebration of an artist who raised the Cinderella of instruments out of obscurity, and inspired the admiration and friendship of very many other famous musicians. He talks to some of them, and also to the great violist himself.
