Saturday-Night Theatre: The Missing Day

on BBC Radio 4 FM

by Derek Kartun

On Monday, 25 October 1893 the composer Tchaikovsky died suddenly and in agony as a result of contracting cholera - according to his doctors and his biographer brother, Modest.

Almost every hour of every day of the previous week can be accounted for, but of Monday the 19th there is no record. Here, at last, Modest reveals the terrible and tragic event that took place on that 'missing day'.
