The Violin: Heifetz the Romantic

In the second programme of the nine-part series exploring violin music with some of the finest players Andrew Manze looks at possibly the most famous violinist of the 20th century, the legendary Jascha Heifetz. The programme features a performance of Franck's Violin Sonata from Heifetz's last concert, and some shorter pieces, including some of Paganini's Caprices and part of Mozart's Haffner Serenade.
