Home is a Castle
Scotland's only unique contribution to European architecture is the style of its small castles. There are about 600 of them and an increasing number are being restored from ruins to make striking and impressive homes - at a cost, after grant-aid, of no more than a family house in the south of England, plus a lot of dedication.
