The Race of Champions

on BBC One London

Introduced direct from Brands Hatch by Raymond Baxter
In the pits Barrie Gill

The World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi won four big international races at Brands Hatch last year. Can he keep his record this afternoon in the first European Formula One event of 1973, the Daily Mail Race of Champions over 40 laps of the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit?

The young Brazilian's rivals include two former world champions - Denny Hulme in a McLaren and Graham Hill in one of the new Shadow works cars - and former motor cycling World Champion Mike Hailwood in a Surtees.
