Three years ago Col Hilary Hook, an eccentric Englishman of the old school, became a national celebrity. A documentary showed him being evicted from his home in Kenya and coming to terms with life in Britain. Last month he died at the age of 72. Tonight he stars in two films. First an award-winning drama made by his son, Harry (who went on to direct The Kitchen Toto). In this touching fairy-tale, made in 1986, Hilary Hook plays an old man who has one last task left to perform. (R)
