3/4. Lulu continues a profile of soul tenor and songwriter William "Smokey" Robinson, who until 1972 led Motown quartet the Miracles. This chapter looks at Robinson's role as Motown's vice-president, which involved songwriting and producing for the label's other artists. He retired from the Miracles when he had children, but after three years as a devoted family man it was clear that he missed making music.
He then launched his solo career.
