Both Paul Dangerfield (Nigel Le Vaillant) and DI Frank Dagley (Michael Melia) are given the third degree about their professional abilities during a murder trial in tonight's episode. And away from the tensions of the court room they are both having women trouble: the doctor's bereavement counsellor Liz Moss (Jacquetta May) has already told him she wants to end their professional sessions. Now she declares she has no romantic interest in him either. Meanwhile, Dagley has dinner with his detective sergeant Helen Diamond (Nicola Cowper) to discuss the case, although Helen finds it hard to conceal her feelings for her boss.
