Whicker's World

on BBC One London

Hong Kong
2: 'My great-grandfather had six wives....'
The Orient's rich and famous open their doors to Alan Whicker as he continues his series on the people of free-market Hong Kong, due to be repossessed by China in 1997. David Tang honours his great-grandfather with six wives, but he also smokes cigars, reads The Times and speaks 'like some old English colonel'. Gerald Godfrey is English but his lifelong passion is Chinese art and he serves caviar 'with a mother-of-pearl shovel'. Jenny Sun runs a telecommunications business, but still goes to a fortune-teller in search of her next husband. Film editor uz THOYTS
