3:Alamelu 's Illness
Alamelu, like all Indians, has a wide choice of medicine. The film follows her as she seeks help for her illness, first with local folk healers, then a Western hospital, and finally at the hospital of traditional medicine in Madras where she is prescribed remedies that have been used for 2,000 years.
