on BBC Radio 3

(1862-1918)
Debussy was one of the most influential composers of the 20th century. This week's programmes trace the development of his music and give insights into Debussy's character through his letters. Writing about his own music to his fellow musicians and circle of painters, he touches on issues in art, literature, theatre and music leading up to the First World War.
