The World of Bob Hope

on BBC One London

with Cary Grant, Gregory Peck, David Janssen, Arnold Palmer, Jack Benny and Les Brown and his Band of Renown

Perhaps the most popular entertainer in America, Bob Hope has become a legend. Fantastically wealthy, he represents a cult figure to the not-so-silent majority that is Middle America.
His annual 100,000-mile tour of North America has taken on the character of a crusade for the traditional values.
This is a record of this year's tour, from small towns, the college campuses, the Houston Astrodome and its climax before an audience of 450,000 in an 'honour America Rally' in Washington.
