At last the flagon comes up for auction, and the future of the church roof will be decided. The
TB carriers are traced - badgers. The Ministry gassing team arrives to eliminate them. The village copes with the drought, thanks to the natural springs underneath the chalk hills. The parish council meets to discuss the problem of cow pats. Someone has suggested that the cows should wear nappies.
