William Cole held the Goring Thomas Scholarship for composition at the Royal Academy of Music. While there he made a special study of chamber music, composing a number of works which were performed at Academy concerts. Mr. Cole is now an organist and music master at Dorking. Early this year a glee of his won the prize offered by the Noblemen and Gentlemen's Catch Club. Previously he had a work for two violins and piano broadcast.
