THE CATTERALL STRING QUARTET:
ARTHUR CATTERALL (Violin), LAURANCE TURNER (Violin), BERNARD SHORE (Viola), LAURI KEN
NEDY (Violoncello)
THE members of the quartet are all principals in the B.B.C. Symphony Orchestra,, each of whom had won distinction as a solo artist before the orchestra was formed. Arthur Catterall is, as all the world knows, its leader, and Laurance Turner shares the first desk with him, leading one-half of the orchestra when it is divided. Bernard Shore and Lauri Kennedy are principal viola and violoncello respectively.
