Holiday

on BBC One London

Introduced by Cliff Michelmore
The use of touring caravans is growing tremendously from year to year and is without question one of the 'boom' areas of holiday-making. In Britain, a look at any holiday route during summer will provide ample evidence of that popularity. A film report by CLIFF . MICHELMORE Veniceis not so much a city as an emotion. A serene and graceful place threatened over the centuries by the water on which it stands and even by the number of people simply wanting to go there. JOHN CARTER reports.
Our third film is from Frank Bough and his wife, who continue their gentle journey through France taking their time to explore the Gallic byways.
In the studio John Carter and Norma Shepherd have the latest news and views of the travel and holiday scene.
