Lord David Cecil has chosen a congenial theme for his broadcast this evening. His life of Cowper, ' The Stricken Deer ', was the book that first brought him literary fame. He has also written biographies of Sir Walter Scott and Jane Austen and the young Melbourne. Lord David, grandson of the great Lord Salisbury, is a scion of the famous Cecil family whose members have attained eminence in politics, diplomacy, and the Church.
