A masque to celebrate the peace of Nijmegen, agreed between the French and the House of Orange in 1678. Before the performance, Frits Noske sets the scene for this and the other programmes of Dutch music to be broadcast over the coming fortnight by describing the varied musical life of the Netherlands in the - 17th century.
