Natural Wonder - Stevie at 50

on BBC Radio 2

Dionne Warwick presents an exploration of the genius of Stevie Wonder, who celebrates his 50th birthday this month. Weaned on the music of Ray Charles and blind since birth, Steveland Judkins Morris could play piano, harmonica and drums by the age of seven, and three years later he signed a long-term contract with Tamla Motown. By the time of classic albums such as Songs in the Key of Life in the seventies, he was acclaimed as one of the greatest musicians of his generation. Producer Iqbal Nandra
