A New Image for the Dinosaur? Our traditional picture of the dinosaur is of the ' terrible lizard,' huge slow-moving reptiles, which have been called ' the epitome of extinctness.' But is this really true? It has recently been suggested that dinosaurs were, in fact, highly successful warm-blooded animals, and the ancestors of our modern birds.
