Stayin' Alive

on BBC Radio 1 England

with Andy Peebles and Noel Edmonds from The Motor Show, Birmingham
This week, Dr Alan Mary on-Davis talks about the safety aspects of driving from a medical point of view. He discusses the problems of driver stress and fatigue, and explains why alcohol and some medicines affect driver ability. Aggression behind the wheel can often cause accidents, as can poor eyesight, and the Doctor advises on ways of making sure you are as safe as possible on the roads. He alsu mentions the reaction time needed to cope with emergencies, and on a lighter note, looks at the best way to sit comfortably in your car.
Noel tells you about this year's new cars, and finds out how many cars are currently on the road.
Andy chairs the programme, and puts the questions you might like to ask about driving to Noel and an invited expert in the studio.
