Beginning with the decathlon 100m where Britain's Dean Macey will be hoping to go one better than his silver medal performance at last year's world championships in Seville. At 11.35 round one of the women's 1500m. Followed at 12.00 by the decathlon Long Jump. 12.05am sees round one of the men's 200m in which Christian Malcolm, Darren Campbell and Marlon Devonish go for Britain. Then at 1.15 round one of the women's 200m featuring the unstoppable Marion Jones. At 1.55 round one of the men's 3,000m steeplechase, followed at 2.40 by the women's 10,000m heats.
