To be repeated tomorrow at 11.0 a m. Last week Mrs. Barr came to see the Dales and Gwen took her to Esmond. She arranged to take him to her flat. Mrs. Mountford was taken ill while Mi s Marchbanks was having a week's ho: day so Mrs. Freeman went to look after her. Dr. Dale told Gwen she must persuade Esmond to go into hospital. Esmond refused because he thought it would make his mother unhappy if she could not look after him but he agreed to see a specialist. Dr. Dale came home and to'd Mrs. Da'e there was no hope of Esmond ever recovering.
