King

on BBC One London

(MARTIN LUTHER KING)
The last of three programmes
In the mid-1960s Dr King speaks out not only against social injustices but also the Vietnam war, so alienating conservative Americans. Further conflict arises with the emergence of Black leaders opposed to his policy of non-violence. In this climate a tragic outcome seems inevitable.
