On 29 October 1787, Mozart's great opera was premiered in Prague. To mark the exact bi-centenary, a programme of excerpts from famous recordings of the last 50 years including:

EUSABETH SCHWARZKOPF in Donna Elvira 's Mi tradi; NICOLAI GHIAUROV as the serenading Don;
CESARE siepi as the party-giving Don;
ELISABETH SCHUMANN and ANNA
MOFFO with portraits of Zerlina; EUSABETH GRÜMMER as Donna Anna , conducted by WILHELM FURTW ANGLER; and RICHARD TAUBER in Don Ottavio 's Dalla sua pace.
Also the Overture, recorded in 1939 by THOMAS BEECHAM and the LONDON PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA. Records
