Panorama: Vietnam: Journal of a War

on BBC One London

The war in Vietnam grows more agonising. The South Vietnamese, at war with the Viet Cong and with each other, are themselves the victims of a war in which more civilians than soldiers have been killed. Are the Americans winning the war to keep Vietnam free from Communism? Can they win it, where perhaps it matters most, in the minds of the Vietnamese?
Michael Charlton and a Panorama unit have travelled for six weeks m South Vietnam to prepare this special report on a country at war.
