Omnibus: Writing with Light: Vittorio Storaro

on BBC One London

The current season of the arts series ends with a new film.
The man behind the camera on such Oscar-winning films as Apocalypse Now and The Last Emperor, Vittorio Storaro has won acclaim as a top cinematographer not only for his beautiful images, but also for his theories of light and colour. Omnibus follows Storaro's influential career and shows him at work with directors Francis Coppola, Warren Beatty and Bernardo Bertolucci, who said of Storaro that "he paints with light".
