Members of the Police Force have been in the headlines on several occasions during the last few years when charges of violence, intimidation, or corruption have been made against them. On the other hand many problems such as the increase in road traffic and in hooliganism press on the police. Is there any cause for public anxiety and can anything be done to improve the conditions in which the police work?
The programme opens with recordings of the views of people from many parts of the country.
