David Smith talks to David Sylvester
David Smith is generally considered to be the leading American sculptor of the generation of the abstract expressionist painters. This conversation took place in New York, where David Sylvester also recorded interviews with some of these painters (such as Willem de Kooning and Franz Kline) which will be broadcast as a series later this year.
